Structural Consultancy

Under structural consultancy we help formulate structural designs for all types of buildings. This includes providing technical backup such as: to the minute Ground Modelling and various Geotechnical, and Civil Structural Software’s.

We also provide RCC Structure Design. A RCC structure is composed of building components such as Footings, Columns, Beams, Slabs, Staircase etc.These components are reinforced with steel that give stability to the structure.

Non Destructive Testing

Structural Audit is a preliminary technical survey of a building to assess its general health as a civil engineering structure. It is usually initiated as the first step for repair.

Model by-law no. 77 specifies Structural Audit as a mandatory requirement if the age of a building is 15 to 30 years. Structural Audit must be carried out at least once in 5 years and for buildings older than 30 years it should be carried out once in 3 years.

A Structural Audit includes:

- A thorough inspection of entire building with a note on all visible defects, deterioration & its quantification. These are marked on floor drawings from which estimate is worked out.
- Diagnosis of damages and suggestive remedial measures
- Submission of the condition survey & structural audit report, priority wise estimate for rehabilitation, condition survey drawings, photographs.
- Necessity of Non destructive testing (NDT) will be decided after inspection of structure.

A Structural Audit includes:

Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Machines, Re-bar Locator , Corrosion Meter , Core Cutting Machine , Ground Water Locator , Resistivity Meter , Schmidts Hammer , Vibration Meter , Thickness Gauge , Diagnosis of damages and suggestive remedial measures , Ultrasonic Flaw Detector , Pile Integrity Testing Machine

Structural Audits can be validated by the Indian Institute of Technology on request.
